Q
和ろうそくの灯し方を教えてください。
A
和ろうそくは、和ろうそく専用の燭台で灯してください。
燭台にはピ ンあり、ピンなしの2種類があります。
自立できる丈の短い和ろうそく は、 ピンなしの燭台でご使用ください。
その他丈の長い和ろうそくは、 ピンありの燭台にまっすぐ立ててご使用ください。
その際、和ろうそくの 底面が燭台に付くまで差し込んでご使用ください。
※当和ろうそくは職 人による手作りの為、一つ一つの大きさ、色味、形に個体差があります。
Q
How do use the Warosoku candles?
A
Please use the Warosku candles with a Warosoku designated candleholder.
Our candle holders has two types, ones with pins and ones without.
The small candles that can stand alone should be used with the candleholder without the pins.
The longer candles should be used with the candleholder with the pins. In this case please make sure you push the candles in securely.
*Our candles are made by hand by the craftsmen, so please note there will be slight differences between each one.

芯切ってなんですか？使い方について教えてください。
A
和ろうそくは芯が炭化し残るのが特徴です。芯切りという和ろうそく 専用の道具を使用し、長く残った焦げを摘んで取り除きながら灯してく ださい。そうすることで、より綺麗で力強い灯火を楽しむことができま す。「火を整える」という昔ながらの所作のひとつでもあります。
※自立で きる丈の短い和ろうそくは、芯切りの必要はありません。
※芯切りを行 う際に、灰が飛び散る可能性があります。飛び散った灰は熱くやけどを する可能性もありますので、扱いには十分ご注意ください。
Q
What is a Shinkiri (Flame Snuffer) and how do I use it?
A
When Warosoku burns the burnt wick remains without curling up. The Shinkiri is a special tool for Warosoku and is used to trim the elongated burnt wick. This manner is called "maintaining the flame" and it is a part of the Warosoku experience.
By maintaining a certain length of wick, you can enjoy the beautiful flame.
*Small candles do not need to be trimmed.
*Please take care when trimming as the ash is very hot.

和ろうそくについての注意事項はありますか？
A
●火の取り扱いには 十分に注意し、火をつけたまま、そばを離れないでください。ろうそくは まっすぐ立てて、倒れないことを確かめてください。
●風がなく、水平で 安定している場所でお使いください。空調などの風の影響で炎が揺れ、 かたよったろうの溶け方をし、ろうが垂れる場合があります。敷物などを 汚す場合がありますのでご注意ください。
●締め切った部屋では十分 に注意し、換気を行ってください。
●燃えやすい物の近くでは、使用しな いでください。
●燃焼途中には芯切りを行い、正常な炎を保ってくださ い。
●割れている、もしくは欠けているろうそくは使用しないでください。
●火を消す際、吹き消さないでください。ろうが飛び散る恐れがあり危 険です。自然に燃え尽きるのを待つか、芯切りなどの道具を使い火を消 してください。
●キッチンの排水溝等には溶けたろうを 流さないでください、つまりの原因になります。
●乳幼児の手の届かない所 に保管してください。
●用途以外で使用しないでください。

キャンドルホルダーについての注意事項はありますか？
A
付属の取扱説明書に記載の使用方法を必ずご一読の上ご利用ください。

●使用後の燭台の清掃は、残ったろうを拭き取っ た後、少量の熱湯をかけ拭き取ってください。拭き取った後は完全に乾 かしてから保管してください。
●キャンドルホルダー“Luoto”の場合、 陶器のパーツ及び鉄製の皿パーツは木製の台から取り外し清掃してく ださい。
●キャンドルホルダー“Luoto”では一部強力な磁石が使用されています、磁力 に弱い物は近づけないでください。
●キャンドルホルダー“Kanto”は重い真鍮でできて おりますので、落下には十分ご注意ください。
●キャンドルホルダー“Kanto”は真鍮で できており、時間と共にくすみが発生します。くすみが気になるようであ れば、真鍮専用の布等で磨いてください。

Is there any safety instructions for the Candle Holders?
A
Always check the safety instructions before every use.

●For “Luoto”, please remove the ceramic and metal parts when cleaning.
●For “Luoto”, there is a strong magnet embedded so please take care you do not put anything close by that is weak to magnetic force.
●For “Kanto”, it is made from brass and is quite heavy, so please take care not to drop it.
●For “Kanto”, it is made from brass so after a prolonged amount time you may some color changes, please use brass polishes as needed.

We do not offer gift wrapping service.
We do include a WAFIN paper bag with every Candle or a Candleholder purchase which can be used as a gift bag.
